The room has very less furniture but nothing else is really needed besides the bed which functions according to need changing from a simple bed to study in a moment. The walls, covered in white primer gives a sense of security and the many windows bare, gives the impression of transparent walls.
However one thing stood rigid, unmoved, the only one thing that adorned the walls, the dull room just lighted by its presence, it was all that was ever needed the cheap plastic golden frame. Though what it contained made it priceless, it gave the lifeless room a glow of human love which only he could feel, it spoke volumes of the days of despair which had not for one moment left him alone but its presence function as a soothing balm on the ruthless open wound.
The manifestation of the love, the hard work of a life time; the greatest gift he ever received. That which said, “Nothing’s impossible – it may seem but it’s not hard you know it”. No! He didn’t imagine some Godly voice speaking; it just spoke by being there.
If one saw it from the point of time spent, yes it took a lot long or if someone judged it as a success or failure it was a failure yet a very definite success in the end if asked was it worth it every being of his existence answered yes.
But he was beyond what people thought life had taught him the lesson early on what actually mattered was what he thought for him that cheap plastic frame became priceless with his Diploma Certificate was the proof, his success, his prayers, his answers, his happiness, his world; his door from the impossible to the possible.
Very inspiring post. The ‘cheap gold frame’ story is a reminder that we can all change the story of our lives – it really is up to us. Interesting how some things feel very little to the rest of the world, but in your eyes they are the best and most important things ever. Several years ago, I read in a novel by Louisa May Alcott — ‘All your life people will try to take your accomplishments away from you, don’t you take them away from yourself!’
wonderful quote the worlds expectation is up if we are down and if we do good its never enough i sometimes wonder what will ever get it satisfied nothing is the answer i always come up with.
thanks for reading
